ASIA Webinar on Bright Futures Begin Lead Free. ASIA Webinar focusing on lead poisoning as part of the World Health Organization‘s International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week (hashtag#ILPPW) 2024 under the ASIA’s Awareness Campaign, “ARE YOU LEAD FREE?”. 

Our panelists, including Dr. Indu Bhushan, Vice-Chairperson, ASIA, Mr.Tom Neltner, Director, Unleaded Kids and Mr. Tim Pye, Co-Founder Lead Exposure and Poisoning Prevention Alliance, shared crucial insights into tackling this pressing issue.

During the webinar, panelists addressed vital questions, including the ongoing lead awareness campaigns in India aimed at preventing lead poisoning and strategies to enhance testing infrastructure for at-risk children. They discussed Unleaded Kids’ initiatives in the U.S. and the need to re-evaluate “lead-safe” and “lead-free”. Additionally, insights were shared on the LEAPP Alliance’s efforts in the UK, highlighting challenges in child screening, lead hazard disclosure, and regulatory compliance.
