About the Guest: Parameswaran Iyer is the Executive Director at the World Bank Group, representing Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, and Sri Lanka. Previously, he served as CEO of NITI Aayog from July 2022 to February 2023, initiating key programs like the State Support Mission and the Aspirational Block Program, and advancing the $25 billion Production Linked Incentive scheme.With over 23 years in senior management roles in the Indian Administrative Service, Iyer has extensive experience in water and sanitation. He led the $20 billion Swachh Bharat Mission, providing safe sanitation to 550 million people, and designed the Jal Jeevan Mission, aiming for 190 million household tap connections by 2024.Iyer holds a bachelor’s degree from St Stephen’s College and an MBA from the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon. He has authored two books and is a regular contributor to leading Indian newspapers on economic growth and inclusive development.
